Death toll from Saudi air strikes on Kusher district rises to 23 civilians

SANAA, March 11(YPA)  – Death toll from Sunday’s Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on civilians in Kusher district of Hajjah province rose on Monday to 23, Health Ministry spokesman Yusif al-Hadri said in a statement.

He indicated that 14 children and 9 women were killed, noting that there are critical cases among the wounded.

“There is no stance on the part of the United Nations and human rights organizations towards the crime of Kusher,” he added.

He called on UN organizations to move to carry out their humanitarian duty to prepare, equip and furnish rural hospitals to reduce civilian casualties.

He expressed his regret over the failure of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to play its humanitarian role towards civilian victims of crime.
