Hodeidah’s Acting Governor discusses with ICRC provision of emergency needs

HODEIDAH, March 10 (YPA) – Acting Governor of Hodeidah Province Mohammed Quhaim on Sunday discussed with Director of ICRC’s office in Hodeidah the possible support that can be provided by the ICRC in the field of emergency services and humanitarian interventions.

In the meeting, Quhaim praised the ICRC’s support in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene, and humanitarian and relief works.

Quhaim confirmed that the province’s leadership would provide all necessary facilities for the ICRC to carry out its services, humanitarian and relief projects in the province to alleviate the suffering of people as a result of the aggression and siege.

For his part, the ICRIC’s official reviewed the service projects and support provided by the Committee in the humanitarian and relief aspects.

He noted that the ICRC would discuss in the coming days with the International Organization for Migration and other United Nations organizations the provision of needs of citizens in the province, including flour and diesel and other essential needs.
