Activists launch campaign to denounce UAE support for militias in Yemen

SANAA, March 9 (YPA) – Yemeni activists on Saturday evening launched a campaign on social media to denounce the UAE occupation’s support for militias in Yemen.

The campaign “#UAE_Support_ Militias”, which started at 7:00 pm (Sanaa local time), aimed at condemning the UAE’s policy and its practices in south Yemen through establishing and supporting entities serving its colonial interests.

Activists on Twitter indicated that the UAE has sought since the beginning of the war on Yemen to control the Yemeni ports, airports, islands, the Strait of Bab al-Mandab, and the Yemeni coasts, as well as oil and gas wells and fisheries wealth.

Over four years of the war, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have worked on destroying Yemen’s infrastructure and controlling economic areas and caused the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
