SANAA, March 9 (YPA) – Spokesman of the Yemeni army Brigadier Yahya Sarei on Saturday said that Saudi-led coalition and militias committed 678 violations of ceasefire in Hodeidah province during the last 72 hours.
“The aggression coalition forces do not want peace and do not abide by UN resolutions and continue to commit more crimes against the Yemeni people,” Brig. Sarei said in a statement to Yemen News Agency (Saba).
The spokesman held the United Nations and its Special Envoy fully responsible for the continual violations and military escalation by the coalition and its militias, demanding the organization to pressure on them to implement Sweden agreement and the UN resolutions.
Brig. Sarei indicated that the Saudi-led coalition warplanes continued to target citizens and public and private property and launched 17 air raids in several provinces.
The Yemeni army repelled an infiltration attempt by Saudi-backed militias in Rabuah in Asir region, three infiltration attempts in Hodeidah province, one attempt in Dalea province, and another one in Bayda province, according to the spokesman.
He added that the army forces carried out three offensives against the enemy positions in each of Asir and Najran regions and in Dalea province.
