Yemen army thwarts coalition’s infiltration attempt in western coast

HODEIDAH, March 8 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Friday repelled an infiltration attempt of militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Hodeidah province, western Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the Saudi-backed militants tried to advance in the northern part of Hays district in the western coast, but they were foiled by the Yemeni army forces.

Earlier in the day, the coalition-backed militants bombed   Durihamy district using mortar shells amid intensive flying of espionage aircrafts.

The militants further targeted civilians’ homes in  Howk district using mortar shells, leaving material damages.
