SCER sets April 3 date for vote in supplementary parliamentary elections

SANAA, March (YPA) – The Supreme Committee for Elections and Referendum (SCER) on Tuesday set April 3, 2019, a date for voting in the supplementary elections to elect representatives of the vacant constituencies at the Parliament.

Judge Ali al-Samet, member of the SCER and head of the legal affairs told Yemen Press Agency that the Committee started receiving heads and members of the supervisory and original committees.

Al-Samet said that the period of receiving applications to run for parliament would begin on March 14 and would end on March 23.

He added that the counting of votes by the sub-committees would be on the same day of the vote, which is April 3.
