US sells $ 15 billion missile defense system to Saudi Arabia
SANAA, March 5 (YPA) – Lockheed Martin will receive a first-round missile defense system in Saudi Arabia worth $ 15 billion under a $ 110 billion arms package that Trump said it had negotiated with the kingdom in 2017, the Pentagon said.
According to Reuters, the Pentagon gave 946 million dollars a down payment to Lockheed Martin.
Last November, Saudi and US officials signed letters of offer and acceptance in formalizing the terms of Saudi Arabia’s purchase of 44 Thad missile launchers along with missiles and other related equipment.
It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia leads an aggressive alliance with the UAE on Yemen 4 years ago and holds for that many of the arms deals tens of billions of dollars in an unjust war serving the US-Zionist project in the region.
