Saudi-led coalition commits 966 violations in Hodeidah cease-fire: Army Spokesman

SANAA, March. 4 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition and its militias have committed 966 violations of the UN-brokered cease-fire in Hodeidah over the past four days, Yemen’s army spokesman Yahya Sarie said in a statement on Monday.

“The violations included artillery and missile attacks that targeted houses and farms of the citizens in several districts and Hodeidah city,” Sarie said.

The spokesman said the coalition’s ongoing violations to cease fire is an attempt to fail Sweden’s agreement and continue the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Sarie called on the United Nations to take the responsibility to pressure the coalition’s states and their militias to carry out the agreement.

“The coalition fighter jets keep flying 19 times over the sky of Hodeidah province over the past days,” Sarie added.

The UN-brokered truce went into force on Dec. 18.
