ASIR, Feb. 28 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Thursday repelled an attack carried out by militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Asir region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
The official said that dozens of the militants were killed and others were injured in the battle, which took place Rabouah city.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Yemeni army controlled several military sites of the Saudi army during an offensive in Majaza area of the same region.
The offensive resulted in many dead and wounded in ranks of the militias, while the rest of them fled, in addition to losses in military gear, according to the official.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni army’s artillery pounded gatherings of the Saudi army militias at Alib crossing and west of Majaza, causing direct casualties.
