SANAA, Feb. 24 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Sunday stressed the important and central role of UNICEF in mitigating the worsening suffering of Yemenis, especially in issues of maternal and child and education sector.
During his meeting with UNICEF Resident Representative in Yemen Sara Nyanti, al-Ezzi reiterated the national authorities’ commitment and keenness to facilitate tasks of UNICEF and all humanitarian organizations working in the country to ensure the delivery of services and assistance to citizens.
UNICEF representative asserted the organization’s full commitment to fully coordinate with the relevant authorities to provide services to Yemeni citizens and make efforts to alleviate their suffering.
Nyanti indicated that the next payment within the UNICEF-implemented project of cash incentives for teachers would be delivered on Thursday, February 28, 2019.
