Erdogan launches verbal attacks on MBS

SANAA, Feb. 24 (YPA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday evening has launched a verbal attack on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, weeks after accused Saudi Emir of being a “lair”.

“If Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman does not know who killed Khashoggi, who knows?” Erdogan said in a televised interview the Turkish channel “TRT” on Saturday.

He indicated that the killing of Khashoggi was not an ordinary crime, noting to two points in relation to the crime.

He drew attention to two points regarding the murder of Khashoggi.

“First, the Saudi foreign minister Adel Jubeir, who had  denied at the time, the crime  his statement of two local collaborators, and the second statement by the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, that Khashoggi left the Saudi consulate in Istanbul,” Erdogan said

“No one has the right to deceive others,” he said, “if Khashoggi had left the consulate, he would have gone to his fiancée who was waiting for him outside the consulate, he added.

He said that When he asked Jubeir to reveal the identity of the local collaborators, then he was removed from office.”

He continued: “There is a lie in the statements of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his foreign Minister Adel Jubeir since the disappearance of Khashoggi, so Adel Jubeir was sacked from his post.”

The Turkish president called on Saudi Arabia to disclose the identity of the local collaborator in the crime, explaining that the perpetrators were 22 people, including 15 who carried out the murder at the consulate.

He stressed that the Saudi authorities were obliged to provide answers to all the questions concerning the case.
