Top military commander loyal to coalition killed in Najran

NAJRAN, Feb. 23 (YPA) – A top military commander loyal to Saudi-led coalition was killed on Friday by the Yemeni army’s fire in Najran region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, Brigadier General Saleh Nasser Belaid al-Marqashi, commander of the so-called Kawasr brigade, alongside 12 of his companions were killed in a tightly ambush carried out by the engineering unit of the army in Shajae square in front of Najran.

He indicated that the so-called Kawaser Brigade’s troops received painful blows and had suffered heavy casualties during the past two days.
