SANAA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – The security services in Sanaa province on Tuesday seized more than 10,000 cartons of smuggled dates on two trucks, according to the Security Media Center of the Interior Ministry.
The center explained that police at Sabra checkpoint of Bilad al-Ross district seized 10,075 cartons of dates on two trucks heading to the capital Sanaa, noting that the seized quantity does not hold any customs permits and had not been subject to an agricultural examination.
The police brought the two trucks to the General Authority for Agriculture to take the legal procedures, the center added.
