Update: Yemeni army controls several locations in Jizan

JIZAN, Feb. 16 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Saturday controlled several hills in east of Jahfan mountain in Jizan region.

A military official told Yemen Press Agency that a number of militants hired by Saudi regime were killed and injured during an offensive waged by the Yemeni army on locations controlled by the militants in east of Jahfan mount.

The official added that the army seized military gear left by the militants after they fled their locations.

On Friday, the Yemeni army foiled an infiltration attempt by militias loyal to Saudi army and backed by Saudi warplanes toward sites under the army’s control in the vicinity of the same mountain.
