SANAA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – At least 12 Indian soldiers were killed on Thursday when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in Indian-held Kashmir area, a according to local media.
The blast took place near the main city of Srinagar, targeting a convoy of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
India has an estimated 500,000 soldiers in Kashmir, which has been divided between India and Pakistan and seen security disorder since the end of British rule in 1947.
