SANAA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – At least five people, including three Americans, were killed in a light plane crash on Thursday in the Great Rift Valley area northwest of Kenya’s capital Nairobi, police said.
According to local police sources, the plane crashed into a tree during an emergency landing and was destroyed in a field in Kericho County west of the capital Nairobi.
All the passengers of the plane, three men and two women, died as a result of the accident, the source said.
The sources added that the Americans who have died were men and two women.
Kenya’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said that it received a distress call from the plane, noting that rescue teams went to the scene and began an investigation to determine its causes.
