SANAA, Feb. 10 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Saturday met in Sanaa with Amer Daoudi, director of emergency operations of the World Food Program (WFP).
Al-Ezzi touched on several issues related to WFP work in Yemen, calling on the program’s office to promote transparency and impartiality and focus on the paramount humanitarian objective represented in providing assistance to the Yemeni citizens.
He stressed the principled position of the Yemeni authorities in strengthening the coordination and cooperation with the humanitarian actors working in the country and supporting their efforts in accordance with the national systems and international laws governing that.
Al-Daoudi pointed out that the aim of the visit is to correct the work tracks and raise the ceiling and level of performance. He expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation that the program receives from the concerned parties in Sanaa.
