Health Minister meets WFP nutrition director

SANAA, Feb. 6 (YPA) – Yemeni Health Minister  Taha al-Mutawakil met on Wednesday the director of nutrition of the World Food Program (WFP) Lauren Landis.

At the meeting, al-Mutawakil addressed that his ministry is ready to improve its plan and provide the better services in the field of nutrition for 2019 in cooperation with the WFP.

The minister hoped that the program would provide financial aid for the nutrition workers, especially in light of the conditions experienced by the country due to the continued war and imposed by the Saudi-led coalition on the Yemeni people.

Meanwhile, Landis praised the more efforts made by the ministry to improve the health sector despite the ongoing war.. affirming that the program is ready to provide international experts in nutrition to support the efforts of the ministry in the field.
