National delegation proposes release of 400 prisoners from both sides

AMMAN, Feb. 5 (YPA) – Representatives of the national delegation in the supervisory committee on the implementation of prisoner exchange agreement on Tuesday proposed the release of 400 prisoners from both sides.

A source in the national delegation told Almasira TV Channel that “the delegation made a proposal to Riyadh’s mercenaries to release 400 prisoners from both parties as a gesture to make the agreement successful.”

The source added that the national delegation has not yet received a response from the representatives of the other party to the initiative.

Earlier in the day, the supervisory committee held its first meeting in Jordan’s capital Amman within a new round of talks between Sanaa and Riyadh delegations, at the auspice of the United Nations and in presence of representatives of ICRC.
