UN envoy to Yemen leaves Sanaa International Airport

SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The United Nations envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths left on Thursday Sanaa International Airport.

During three-day visit, Griffiths met with al-Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, head of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat and head of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee Mohamed Ali al-Houthi, as well as foreign minister Hisham Sharaf.

Griffiths also visited the coastal city of Hodeidah and met with the local authority of the province.

The visit came in line of good efforts exerted by the UN envoy to carrying out Sweden agreement to cease-fire in Hodeidah.
