Gov’t Spokesman calls on UN to assume responsibility to stop aggression violations

SANAA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – Spokesman of the National Salvation Government and Information Minister Dhaifallah al-Shami on Tuesday called on the United Nations to assume responsibility to stop the ceasefire breaches committed by Saudi-led aggression coalition and its militias.

In a statement to Yemen News Agency (Saba), al-Shami pointed out that the most recent of those breaches was the killing of one of the IED dismantling team members in Hodeidah city by militia fire, while the UN team was in the process of opening a road to the Red Sea mills.

“This reveals barbarism and intentions of the aggression and that is not serious in the implementation of Sweden agreement Sweden,” he added.

The spokesman called on the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths and Head of the UN monitoring team in Hodeidah General Patrick Cammaert to declare the obstructionist party to the agreement and to take firm measures against the aggression violations.

He reaffirmed that the national team had made concessions and facilities to the UN team in order to achieve peace, while the other side continued to be stubborn and not to abide by what was agreed upon.
