SANAA, Jan. 28 (YPA) – The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has made it clear that the humanitarian situation in Yemen has become very serious and if it continues, it would lead to famine.
WFP is trying to deliver food aid to up to 12 million people suffering from severe hunger in Yemen, the BBC radio reported on Monday.
The program has recently been heavily criticized by a number of organizations across Yemen. It was also exposed to a scandal last week in areas under the control of Saudi-led coalition militias, after the distribution of expired food to school students in al-Shamaytin district, west of Taiz province.
