2 killed, 5 injured in bomb blast in Iraq

SANAA, Jan. 27 (YPA) – At least two people were killed and five others injured on Sunday when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in the village of Khanukah, south of Shirqat city, Salah al-Din province, Iraq.

“A roadside bomb went off near the village of Khanukah, south of Shirqat city, exploded on Monday, killing two people and injuring five others,” local sites said.

A number of Iraqi cities are witnessing occasional explosions, while the Iraqi government maintains that the state’s organization continues to be active in the cities and provinces under its control.
