Statistics: 40,564 civilians killed, injured over 1400 days of coalition’s war on Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 26 (YPA) – The Human Rights and Development Center of humanity eye in Sanaa launched a report containing the latest statistics of the number of civilian casualties during the 1400 days of Saudi-led coalition’s war on Yemen, in addition to the losses of infrastructure and basic services during the same period.

The report confirmed that 40,564 civilians were killed and wounded as a result of coalition air strikes on Yemeni cities, massacres and systematic killings carried out on a daily basis four years ago, including 7,500 children and 4,752 women.

The statistics of the center indicated that 365 hospitals and health facilities were totally or partially destroyed as a result of the coalition’s airstrikes. In addition, 984 schools were similarly destroyed during 1400 days of war.

The targeting extended to commercial establishments, including 365 factories and 642 public markets, according to the report.

During the war on Yemen, the coalition destroyed many bridges, farms, houses, archaeological sites, mosques and many vital places, which contributed to the creation of the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
