Coalition militias commit 158 violations of Hodeidah ceasefire in 48 hours: Army Spokesman

SANAA, Jan. 26 (YPA) – Spokesman of the Yemen army on Friday said that Saudi-led coalition militias committed 158 violations of the ceasefire agreement in Hodeida over the past 48 hours.

“The coalition-led coalition militias do not abide by any agreement and continue to commit violations of the ceasefire hysterically in Hodeidah,” Yemen News Agency (Saba) quoted Brigadier General Yahya Sarei as saying in a statement.

According to the spokesman, the coalition warplanes continued to fly over the city of Hodeidah and several districts, while the coalition militias fired 101 artillery shells, 15 missiles and 31 shells of various weapons at residential neighborhoods, citizens’ homes and farms and positions of the army in several areas and villages.

“Our forces monitored reinforcements of militias between Aqad, Shaab city, north of Hashidi, 22 May area and Ghrasi,” said Sarei.

He confirmed that the artillery of the coalition’s militias bombed one of Red Sea mills silos and led to the fire in a cowardly action that reflects the extent of hatred and indifference to the citizens’ strength.

Sarei added that the coalition aircrafts waged 31 raids, five on Haradh district of Hajjah province, an air raid on Nehm district of Sanaa province, 25 on several districts of Saada province.
