UN to begin int’l probe into killing of Khashoggi

SANAA, Jan. 24 (YPA) – A UN investigator said on Thursday she would go to Turkey next week to head an independent international team to investigate into the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The investigator indicated that she would assess the steps of governments in response to the killing of Khashoggi and the degree of responsibility of the states and individuals for the crime, according to Reuters news agency.

She added that she would convey the findings of her inquiry into Khashoggi’s death to the UN Human Rights Council in next June.
