Saudi forces banish “storm brigade” from border fronts

SANAA, Jan. 23 (YPA) -Saudi Arabia has decided to expel the so-called “Storm Brigade, which was formed from mercenaries on the Alib font in Asir region, despite the fact that they have defended the al-Saud royal family and their borders for a long time, sources familiar with the issues have told the Media Center of the northern front on Tuesday.

According to the sources, “the brigade consists of Salafist groups and the majority of them come from Taiz Province. They are being led by the mercenary Khalid Ma’arouf and his staff officer Adel al-Aodhilai.”

The sources pointed out that the Storm Brigade was stationed in the direction of Majazah area and had participated in a number of attacks together with the Saudi-led invading forces on the Yemeni army’s positions.

The mercenary commander of the so-called Azal axis, Yasser al-Ma’abori, has expressed concern about the Storm Brigade, stating that it might get great respect and attention from the Saudi officers; it was reportedly Ma’abori who had decided to plot against the brigade as a result.

This move has led the Saudi-led coalition leadership to expel the troops completely.

It is worthy to say that Saudi Arabia is carrying out a massive and unprecedented recruitment and mobilization campaign for troops in Taiz province through its local brokers, including the hiring of child soldiers.

Saudi-paid brokers have been active recently in a large numbers in order to entice poor young men to be recruited in order to get paid with Saudi dirty money. These Yemeni recruits are then often used as cannon fodder on the battlefields, fighting against their own country.

This has made parents and relatives of those who have been deceived decide to launch a major campaign against Saudi Arabia and its brokers on social media and other media outlets.

This move came after several western organizations and media published reports exposing the role of Saudi Arabia and the UAE in recruitment of child soldiers from Sudan, especially in the Darfur region, with the aim of using them in the war against Yemen as human shields on the border frontlines and many other fronts.
