Civil Defense reveals losses resulting from coalition raids on capital Sanaa

SANAA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – Chief of the Civil Defense Department Major General Abdulfattah al-Madani on Sunday revealed the size of the material losses and causalities caused by Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on the capital Sanaa last night.

Rescue teams recovered bodies of a number of civilian casualties from the rubble, and many wounded were transferred to hospitals in the capital, according to security media.

“10 fire trucks and a large number of firefighters and rescuers of the Department participated in extinguishing the huge fires that broke out in two sponge factories in Jader and Shamlan areas of the capital due to the aggression air bombing,” al-Madani said.

Al-Madani held the United Nations and the international community responsible for crimes and massacres committed against the Yemeni people because of their complicity with the coalition.

He called on human rights organizations to condemn the brutal crimes committed daily by the aggression coalition against Yemenis in a flagrant violation of all international conventions, treaties and agreements.
