SANAA, Jan. 18 (YPA) – A senior Israeli official has traveled to an Asian country across Saudi airspace, a spokesman for Israeli prime minister, Ofir Gendelman, said.
Gendelman told the Arab media that Meir Ben Shabat, the Israeli national security adviser, traveled to India for a few days of official visit.
Gendelman published a tweet at his official account on Twitter on Thursday evening, in which he said that national security adviser Meir Ben Shabat had returned home from a visit to India, during which he met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Director General of my ministry Defense and Foreign Affairs of India, and heads of the Indian security services.
Gendelman said that Ben Shabat returned from India to Israel through Air India flight, which passed over Saudi Arabia, a visit that dealt with bilateral relations and security deals, and it was agreed to take further steps to enhance security, technological and economic cooperation between the two countries.
