Shura Council’s Defense & Security Committee discusses plan for 2019

SANAA, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The Defense and Security Committee of the Shura Council on Wednesday held a meeting under the chairmanship of Acting Speaker of the Council Mohammed al-Aidarous to discuss the committee’s work plan for 2019.

At the meeting, the functions and work of the Defense and Security Committee were inaugurated by reviewing the tasks entrusted to it in accordance with the Council Regulations No. 39 for the year 2002.

After that, the committee continued is procedural meeting, during which Brigadier Yahya Mohammed Abdullah al-Mahdi was elected as Chairman of the Committee, Major General Ahmed Ali al-Ashwal as Deputy Chairman, and Adel Ahmed al-Hanbasi as its Rapporteur.
