Army repels coalition’s attack in Jawf

JAWF, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Wednesday repelled large-scale attacks carried out by militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Jawf province, northern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the battle, which took place in Khub Washaef district left dozens of the militants dead and wounded.

The attack lasted for several hours but without making any progress on the ground despite the intensive participation of coalition warplanes and Apache to back its militants during their foiled attack, the offical said.
