Political Council accuses coalition of seeking to undermine Sweden agreement

SANAA, Jan. 13 (YPA) – The Supreme Political Council on Sunday accused Saudi-led coalition and its tools of seeking to undermine Sweden agreement, holding them responsible for the consequences.

In its meeting headed by President Mahdi al-Mashat, the council expressed its discontent with the lack of progress despite the redeployment step carried out unilaterally by the army and popular committees and the failure of the other party to take similar steps.

The council confirmed its firm position towards peace and the political process, and its support for the efforts of the United Nations envoy to implement the points of Sweden agreement.

The council hailed the steadfastness of the army and popular committees in confronting the military escalation of the coalition aggression on several front lines.

The meeting also dealt with results of debates of the government, relevant bodies, and political parties and components on the draft national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.

In this regard, the council emphasized the urgent priorities at this stage, and in the forefront of which is the judicial system, which includes the judiciary, prosecutions and police stations in cooperation with local authorities.
