SANAA, Jan. 10 (YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment Nabil Abdullah Al-Wazeer discussed on Wednesday with UNICEF Deputy Resident Representative Sherine Farkai a number of topics related to cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and the Organization.
The meeting touched on the level of achievement in the projects implemented during the past year and the positive role played by UNICEF in supporting the efforts and activities of the ministry.
The officials also discussed the most important axes and elements contained in the Ministry’s plan for the current year 2019 and the timetable for implementation at the level of the provinces of Republic.
Al-Wazeer pointed out that the Ministry, through its strategic plan for this year, aims to expand the water map to include a larger area of rural and urban areas as well as expansion of sewage works.
For his part, the Deputy Resident Representative of UNICEF pointed out that the Ministry of Water and Environment is a priority for the organization because of its importance in providing services to citizens. He stressed that the organization will facilitate the financing procedures.
