Army repels coalition’s large-scale attack in Jizan

JIZAN, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Wednesday repelled large-scale  attacks carried out by militants loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Jizan region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The battle, which took place in several Tabab of Jahfan district, left dozens of the militants dead and wounded, the official said.

According to the official, the attack lasted for several hours but without making any progress on the ground despite the intensive participation of coalition warplanes and Apache to back its militants during their foiled attack.
