PM presents commemorative gift to UN envoy

SANAA, Jan. 6 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Sunday met in Sanaa with UN Special Envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths and presented a commemorative gift to him in recognition of his efforts aimed to bring peace to Yemen.

At the meeting, the premier expressed his thanks to the UN envoy for the efforts he made to bring together the different parties in Stockholm last December and to the UN Secretary-General for his support for the peace efforts.

Dr. bin Habtoor renewed the commitment of the Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government to the outcomes and agreements reached in Sweden-hosted consultations.

He hoped that a peaceful solution would be reached in order to end the four-year-old suffering of Yemeni people, which exacerbates month by month.
