Congress will probe Trump’s relationship with Saudi Arabia

SANAA, Jan. 5 (YPA) – Congressman Eric Swalwell  said that the House of Representatives “will open an investigation into Trump’s involvement in money laundering.”

“The investigation will also touch on the relationship between Trump Foundation and Saudi Arabia,” Eric Swalwell added in an intervention, as the US House of Representatives, a Democratic majority opposed to President Donald Trump, kicks off.

The move coincided with a statement issued by a US State Department official on Friday, on the Saudi story about the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

“The story has not lived up to the level of credibility,” the official said.

The official said that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo would emphasize the need for accountability and credibility in the investigation during his Middle East tour next week, including Riyadh.
