SANAA, Jan. 3 (YPA) – A 5.3-magnitude earthquake jolted south-west China’s Sichuan province on Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
According to the agency “Sputnik”, the center reported that the tremors recorded at 8.48 local time (3.48 pm Moscow) in the province of Gongxian county, outskirts of Yibin city.
The quake struck at a depth of 15km, the center said in a statement.
There was no information on casualties or damage caused by the earthquake.
