ADEN, Jan. 1 (YPA) – The port city of Aden, southern Yemen, witnesses accumulation of garbage and waste in streets of al-Buriqa district on the first day of 2019.
Residents of the district complained of overstocked waste and garbage for days in the city streets, which they said have become a breeding ground for insects.
“The continuation of this situation foreshadows a health and environmental disaster and spread of various diseases that may affect children,” they said.
The residents appealed to the local authorities in the district to intervene urgently and remove the piles of garbage, which became threaten their lives with diseases.
