Relief Council in Capital Sanaa discusses aid distribution mechanism in 2019

SANAA, Dec. 23 (YPA) – The Higher Council for Relief and Humanitarian Projects in the capital Sanaa on Sunday discussed the mechanism of aid distribution to the groups eligible to receive assistance in the capital during the year 2019.

The meeting, headed by Mayor of the capital Hamoud Obad, reviewed proceedings of the Executive Technical Committee, which includes the field survey of poor families and the most vulnerable and poorest families in the society for the year 2019, in partnership with the World Food Program and humanitarian organizations.

Obad confirmed that a comprehensive survey of all groups in need will be conducted in the capital during January 2019, noting that the survey would be based on real objective criteria.

“We will do our utmost to target all needy categories, especially that the size of poverty has increased and widened due to the continuation of aggression and siege,” Obad said.
