SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, announced that the possibility of Turkey selling US air defense systems is not linked to the Russian system S-400, and will continue to implement the contract with Russia.
According to Sputnik, Peskov said, “These are not related operations, we are implementing those agreements already in place with our Turkish colleagues, you know that the project and the contract on the S-400 are in the implementation phase and will continue.”
Peskov stressed that there is no reason for distrust of Turkey in terms of not disclosing sensitive information to the United States, related to missile systems Russian air defense.
“The implementation of the military technical cooperation of the Russian Federation with the rest of the countries is usually accompanied by legal obligations not to disclose a specific category of information, the sensitive information associated with such cooperation, there are such obligations on the Turkish side,” he said.
