President issues directive on adopting national currency in contracts 

SANAA, Dec. 18 (YPA) –President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on Tuesday issued important directive on concluding contracts in the national currency instead of foreign currencies.

A source at the Presidency said that the work under the directive would start from the beginning of the year 2019, especially in real estate due to the economic conditions experienced by the country and citizens as a result of the war and siege.

The recent period has witnessed a significant decline in the local currency against foreign currencies as a result of the economic war waged by Saudi-led coalition against Yemen.
