STOCKHOLM, Dec. 13 (YPA) – UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Thursday said that the international community would support the agreements reached in the consultations held in Sweden between the Yemeni parties.
“We are still at the beginning of the solution to the Yemeni crisis, and the two parties still have a lot of work,” said Guterres in a press conference held in the Swedish city of Rimbaud, which is hosting the Yemeni consultations since December 6.
“There are great efforts being made to secure the port of Hodeidah,” he added.
For his part, UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, said “We will find a mechanism to reopen Sanaa International Airport.”
Griffiths confirmed that there would be a withdrawal of troops from three ports of Salif, Hodeidah and Ras Issa under the Hodeidah agreement.
