Militia leader smuggled out of prison in Taiz

 TAIZ, Dec. 13 (YPA) – Military figures affiliated with Islah Party facilitated the escape of militia leader Ghazawn al-Mekhlafi from a prison, after he was arrested for leading an armed gang to provoke chaos in the city of Taiz.

“Command of the so-called “patrol police and road security camp” facilitated on Monday evening smuggling of al-Mekhlafi to outside the camp,” sources familiar with the matter said.

They added that the Islah leadership in Taiz is trying to hide the crime of smuggling al-Mekhlafi, under the pretext of transferring him for treatment in a hospital.
