Update: Army repels coalition’s attack in Asir

ASIR, Dec. 12 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Wednesday repelled a wide-scale attack carried by Saudi-led coalition troops on Alib crossing port in Asir region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official said a military vehicle of the coalition was destroyed with a guided-missile during the confrontations.

He added that the army’s artillery unit pounded gatherings of Saudi-backed militias in the same area, which resulted in several dead and wounded in their ranks.

The move came in light of the enemy’s escalation in the border fronts of Asir, Najran and Jizan.
