SANAA, Dec. 12 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Wednesday discussed a report prepared by the parliamentary committee for development, oil and mineral resources on the government procedures to tackle the crisis of oil derivatives and domestic gas.
In the meeting, which was attended by the government side represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr. Hussein Maqboli, the parliament members stressed that the government should be committed to the parliament’s recommendations contained in the report.
They demanded the government to place a suitable mechanism ensuring the delivery of domestic gas to all citizens in the provinces at the fixed price, and to reduce the prices of fuel (petrol and diesel) in keeping with the oil low prices in the world and the decline in foreign exchange rates.
