STOCKHOLM, Dec. 11 (YPA) – The national delegation negotiating in Yemen talks in Sweden on Tuesday said that the implementation of the prisoner exchange deal between the Supreme Political Council and Saudi-backed government would take 40 days from the announcement date.
According to an informed source in the national delegation, the two delegations have two weeks to study the files and verify the names and conditions of the concerned persons, a third week to submit observations, and a fourth week to respond to the remarks of the other party.
“The agreed lists will be handed over to the International Committee of Red Cross, which will take over the transfer of prisoners from the airports of Sayoun and Sanaa,” he added.
Earlier in the day, Head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs and member of the national delegation, Abdelqader al-Mortada, said that “the prisoner lists contained more than 15,000 prisoners and detainees.”
