SANAA, Dec. 11 (YPA) – Lithuania has imposed sanctions on 17 Saudis linked to the killing of the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, inside Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, Baltic News Service reported on Monday.
According to the Baltic news, it declared the names of the 17 members who were named as key defendants in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
The move came in a solidarity with international partners,” Lithuanian Minister’s spokeswoman Rasa Jakilaitienė said.
The US, Canada, Germany and France have already imposed similar sanctions on the Saudi team for its role in the murder of Khashoggi, while Britain is preparing similar sanctions.
The list of sanctions includes suspects in the killing of Khashoggi, as well as advisers close to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman headed by Saud al-Qahtani and Ahmed Asiri.
