Criminal court in Ibb sentences to Yousef al-Thawabi’s death

IBB, Dec. 9 (YPA) – Yousef al-Thawabi, 25, was sentenced to death by a criminal court in Ibb  province on Sunday after he pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, kidnapping and raping a child.

Nine-year-old child Alaa al-Hamiri was kidnapped, raped and killed by Thawabi on December 4.

The court declared the sentence of the execution after thousands of residents of Ibb city to demand to carry out a punishment and intimidation so as not to turn a crime into a phenomenon to threatens children’s lives.
