Riyadh delegation to Sweden talks violates prisoner swap agreement

STOCKHOLM, Dec. 9 (YPA) – Member of Yemeni national delegation to Sweden consultation and head of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs, Abdulqader al-Mortada, on Sunday said Riyadh’s delegation violated the prisoner exchange agreement by not providing lists of names of prisoners.

“We were ready today to exchange the lists according to the time specified in the agreement, but Riyadh delegation requested a postponement until tomorrow,” said al-Mortada.

“The prisoner exchange agreement stipulates a time-bound executive mechanism,” he added, urging the United Nation to bind all to commit to the specified time.

Riyadh’s delegation earlier rejected the national delegation’s demand for releasing Yemeni detainees in the UAE-run secret prisons in the southern provinces.
