Revolutionary Committee Chief welcomes Ethiopia’s call for restoring peace in Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 4 (YPA) – Chief of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi on Tuesday welcomed the call of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to the Yemeni people for restoring peace in the country through dialogue.

Earlier in the day, the Ethiopian prime minster directed a message on his Twitter account to the Yemeni people, calling upon all parties “to restore peace and prosperity in the country through dialogue and applying wisdom.”

Replaying to Ahmed’s message, al-Houthi expressed his hope that Ethiopia has a real contribution to ending the suffering of Yemenis as a result of the unjust war waged by Saudi-led coalition countries on Yemen.

“I look forward for a real contribution from Your Excellency and from every peace lover to stopping the Yemenis’ suffering imposed by the aggression countries and their allies without UN mandate or binding law,” al-Houthi said on Twitter.
